Human Resources Manager
Our client is a leading international publisher for the healthcare industry.
They currently have an opportunity for a HR Manager to join their New York office.
Core Duties:
• To provide a generalist HR service to 150 staff based in the US
• To assist managers, their teams and departments in recruitment, training and development, people management, counselling and general HR support
• To implement central initiatives in the New York Office.
• To oversee the administration of the HR system including liaison with payroll
• To provide regular updates to the HR Director based in London and other senior management.
Knowledge and Experience required:
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Achievement of or working towards a suitable HR Professional Qualification
• Motivated to perform when working alone
• Positive in outlook and approach
• A drive to improve and do things better
• Productive Attitude with a positive expectation about people, the company and work-related outcomes
• A willingness to do a variety of duties and be hands on when necessary
• A willingness to travel when required – trips to London head office
• The tendency to have optimistic and positive outlook in most circumstances
• A wish to understand people and have an insight into the way they work
• A comfortable attitude towards people in taking the initiative towards meeting and working with people as opposed to taking a back seat
• Proven experience in managing/ supervising others
• Expert in US employment law
• Ability to work autonomously but still insure connection with UK HR Team
• Strong leader – ability to influence change
